Requirements: • Grade 12 certificate plus a relevant tertiary qualification at NQF level 7 as accredited by SAQA in the Finance Environment • Five (5) years relevant work experience in Supply Chain Management, of which two (2) - three (3) years thereof must be at supervisory level in the Demand Management field. 

Knowledge: • Understanding of FMPPLA (Financial Management of Parliament and Provincial Legislature Act) • Knowledge of relevant policies that impact on FMPPLA in the Legislature.

Skills: • Presentation and facilitation skills • Ability to initiate the development, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of policies and guidelines • Possess the necessary oral, written and electronic communication skills to effectively communicate with staff members and relevant stakeholders • Ability to compile well written reports and the timely submission of reports • Ability to manage, train and develop staff within the unit • Ability to manage and minimize conflict in a multi-sectoral and multi-cultural setting and environment • Effective, efficient and economic use of allocated funds and monitor expenditure trends • Ability to conduct all types of research reactively and pro actively and contribute towards the utilization and management of information • Ability to make substantial inputs towards the achievement of goals and objectives as espoused by the NWPL's Strategic and Operational Plans • Ability to absorb pressure and work extensively in a high-turbulent environment • Being a good team player. Duties: • Provide demand management services • Identify goods and services needs • Conduct needs analysis • Conduct commodity analysis and market research • Develop and monitor implementation of the Demand Plan • Conduct review of specifications • Manage supplier database • Be able to work extended hours as and when required • Safeguard confidential and personal information • Perform any other function as may be directed by Supervisor
