Strike stalls municipal services

Koster – A strike by employees of the Kgetlengrivier Local Municipality from Tuesday 9 June negatively affected service delivery. The workers embarked on the strike over unpaid contributions to the employee pension funds and other third-party payments that were not made to the relevant institutions. The strike adversely affected key public services such as the renewal of drivers’ licenses, vehicles’ licenses, booking of appointments among others.
