CASMAR Impala celebrates wins and youth day success

Rustenburg – On Saturday 29 June 2024, the CASMAR Impala Rugby Club and the Impala Vixens delivered a series of triumphant performances against Rovers Rugby Club at the Impala Rugby Club’s home grounds in Rustenburg. The CASMAR Impala first team won 34-19, while the second team secured a 35-14 victory. The Impala Vixens also excelled, with their first team winning 15-5 and their second team dominating 17-0.

CASMAR Impala Rugby Club head coach Johan Engelbrecht remarked, “This was an excellent result after the successful Youth Day we hosted.” The event included skills development sessions that benefited 149 children from 11 different schools. Engelbrecht noted, “It went fantastically. Each child participated in exercises covering skills, vision, and conditioning, and the difference was visible by the end.”

The club now prepares for another showdown against Potchefstroom Dorp Rugby Club this Saturday, 6 July 2024, at the Impala Rugby Club fields. Fans are encouraged to come and support. For more information, contact Engelbrecht at 083 417 9652.
