Gideon du Plessis shines in interprovincial tennis tournament

Rustenburg – On Saturday 16 March 2024, Gideon du Plessis of Bergsig Academy dazzled audiences in Benoni as part of the North West u/19 tennis team against Gauteng East. Despite his age, the 16-year-old sensation proved his mettle, holding victories against the u/19B team and securing gold for his squad.

Although they fell short against the A-team, Gideon and his teammates enjoyed the experience. His performance showcased not just skill, but also resilience and sportsmanship, leaving a lasting impression on all who watched.
