TWO RECAPTURED, SIX STILL AT LARGE!

Mogwase - On Tuesday 10 October 2023, an escape unfolded at the Mogwase Magistrates’ Court when eight detainees awaiting trial overpowered a security member and fled the holding cells. The escapees pushed the burglar door open and scattered in different directions after the officer had unlocked the cell door.

However, a few minutes later, two of the detainees, Lebogang Mokotleng (27) and Tshepang Raselemane (25), were swiftly rearrested at the Mogwase Taxi Rank. Mokotleng is charged with robbery with a firearm, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Raselemane faces similar charges, including possession of suspected stolen property.

 The other six detainees, all facing serious charges including murder and robbery with a firearm, remain at large. Photo of Keitumetse Lekolomi was not supplied.
