What a load! 

Rustenburg - As the good people of our town went about their business, many were treated to the curious sight of an outrageously overloaded bakkie parked at the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management premises on Kock Street this past Tuesday. 

Perhaps it was a bold statement against making two trips, or maybe they took a ‘go big or go home’ approach quite literally. Either way, the owner went big and ended up at the Department’s doorstep.

This daring display of vehicle volume was originally impounded on the R510 at around 18:00 on Saturday 23 September 2023. And by Wednesday, this gravity-defying bakkie was on its way for a proper weigh-in. Let’s hope the weighbridge had its morning coffee and felt up to the task! 

In wrapping up our whimsical tale of the overloaded bakkie, which looked like a TikTok feature, we must extend a genuine thank you to the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management.
