Family attacked on farm

Rustenburg –  Five armed attackers caught a family off guard in their home on a farm in Modderfontein outside Rustenburg on Thursday 25 November.

The family was busy watching television when the suspects entered through a sliding door. They were tied up and separated and the grandmother and two grandchildren were taken upstairs. The father and son were assaulted, and the attackers demanded firearms and money.

Police spokesperson Captain Aafje Botma confirmed that the suspects managed to flee the scene in the family’s white Toyota Hilux with firearms, ammunition, a television, clothes, and money.

A case of house robbery is being investigated.
