Rustenburg – President Cyril Ramaphosa paid a visit to the Rustenburg Civic Centre on Monday 23 November to assess the progress the ruling ANC has made in rebuilding party structures in the North West.

The president urged party leaders to forge a united front and work collectively towards improving the efficiency of the ANC-led municipalities in the province. “We must also have the courage to renew the ANC,” Ramaphosa said, while addressing party officials from various parts of the North West. “We as the leaders of the ANC, here at this region, at a provincial level and at a national level must be united.”

The ANC is at the forefront of weeding out corruption within local municipalities and recalling party officials who are being accused of lining their pockets instead of implementing developmental projects that benefit communities.
