A Safe Exit, Thanks to You!
Hope on Every Shelf: How a Meal Filled a Home
Rustenburg – It was a day of smiles and shared hope on Friday, 27 June 2025, when IWISA No.1 and Three Star Cash & Carry officially handed over R45,000 to the Lighthouse Children’s Home in Rustenburg — the culmination of the 2024 IWISA No.1 Fills Good campaign.
The heartfelt initiative, which ran from May 2024, saw a percentage of every IWISA No.1 product purchased at Three Star Cash & Carry set aside for Lighthouse. “This was more than just a campaign,” said Premier’s Marketing and Insights executive, Sibongile Mooko. “It was a community-driven movement – a small act of kindness that added up to something truly life-changing.”
With no state funding, Lighthouse depends solely on donations to provide care for nearly 70 children — some as young as three weeks old. The R45,000 will help settle the bond on a newly acquired exit home, a transitional space for children who turn 18 and must legally leave the main home.
“Our dream is that no child leaves here without a support system,” said Elsa Doubell, co-founder of Lighthouse. “This donation brings us a step closer to that reality.”
Three Star Cash & Carry’s regional general manager, Wayne Labuschagne, praised the campaign’s impact. “We are blown away by the generosity of our customers. Even in tough times, they showed up. It’s proof that when we stand together, we can build something meaningful.”
Premier’s Fills Good campaign goes beyond standard CSI. “It’s a CEO-led initiative,” explained Mooko, “a direct investment into Rustenburg. The response has been incredible.”
From humble beginnings in 2019, Lighthouse has grown from housing 11 to almost 70 children. “Every pack of IWISA No.1 purchased has helped shine a light on their future,” said Mooko. “This is the kind of difference that truly fills good.”
