Rustenburg – When you see a happy couple, you just know it. February is the month of love; couples all over the world celebrate their love on Valentine’s Day. The Platinum Weekly newspaper spent time with a truly loving couple, Stephen and Chantel Krause.

These two high school sweethearts met while they were at school; Stephen was a student at Rustenburg High School and Chantel was at Bergsig High school. Chantel admits that in her case, it was an instant attraction, definitely love at first sight!

This beautiful relationship started blooming in 2006, along two years later the couple went on their first date to Montana Flea Market. The couple were joined in marriage, with a Winter Wonderland theme at Molokwane, just outside of Rustenburg in 2014. Two years later the couple were blessed with the birth of a delightful little girl, Kaylee. The birth of Kaylee changed the relationship, making it stronger than it ever had been.

As Mrs Rustenburg, a career woman and mother, Chantel has an extremely busy schedule, but she always puts her child and husband first. When attending charity events as Mrs Rustenburg, Chantel will choose projects which she holds dear, ensuring that she spends no time away from her family.

She often chooses charities and events where Stephen and Kaylee are able to join and lend a helping hand. On occasions such as Valentine’s Day and the special date nights, little Kaylee is always included.

We asked who was the most romantic in the relationship.  Chantel said: “Stephen is the romantic partner; he finds little ways of doing special things for us. He plans romantic evenings with flowers and candlelight and Kaylee is never excluded. We make a point of doing everything together, we prepare dinner together,” Chantel added: “The best part of having Stephen by my side is his strong faith, he will pray for and with us in the mornings and at the end of the day. After 10 years I still feel the butterflies, it’s in the way he looks at me.”

We asked Stephen what it was that made Chantel unique. Stephen replied: “Chantel is a unique woman; it’s the way that she puts everybody before herself. Her loving kind nature, her smile, and her presence is what I can only describe as the very essence of a woman.”

To all our readers: a happy Valentine’s Day!
