Christa, our Ironman!

Rustenburg – Christa Venter, member of the Rustenburg Cycling Club (RCC) conquered the Standard Bank Iron man 70.3 in Buffalo City, East London on Sunday, 28 January. 

This extremely tough event begins with a 1.9 km swim (00:43:26); followed by a fast, undulating 90.1 km bike course (03:22:09); followed by a 21.1 km run (02:39:08).  

Iron lady Christa Venter completed the gruelling iron man in an unbelievable time of 06:57:46. She crossed the line to a hero’s welcome on the red carpet by the enthusiastic Iron Man crew!
