Rustenburg – The Rustenburg Local Municipality has formally introduced its newly appointed directors on Thursday 3 October 2024. At an event graced by the executive mayor, Cllr Shiela Mabale-Huma, and other key leaders, the municipal manager, advocate Ashmar Khuduge, welcomed the directors, marking the end of a long period of instability in the municipality’s leadership.

The appointments come after a rigorous selection process, where these directors were chosen from a pool of numerous candidates. Adv Khuduge praised their extensive experience and expertise, particularly in local government, and expressed confidence in their ability to lead the municipality towards stability and growth.

In her address, the executive mayor, Cllr Mabale-Huma, congratulated the new directors and emphasised the importance of collaboration in ensuring that the Rustenburg Local Municipality delivers essential services to its residents. She acknowledged the impact of the prolonged vacancy in key leadership roles and expressed her belief that the new appointments would bring much-needed stability.

Speaker of council, Cllr Lebogang Pule, extended congratulations on behalf of the entire council and wished the new directors success in their roles.
