MAYOR’S 67 MINUTES

Rustenburg – The executive mayor of Rustenburg councillor Mpho Khunou, in partnership with Al-Imdaad Foundation, handed over gifts to an orphanage home, SOS Children’s Home in Tlhabane West on Thursday 17 July. 

The event formed part of celebrating the former president Nelson Mandela’s centenary, which started with commemorating his birthday on 18 July.

“There were many other activities in the jurisdiction of Rustenburg Local Municipality in which the mayor participated including, amongst others, the Nelson Mandela centenary charity walk from Boshoek Primary School to Vuka Primary School of about four kilometres, and also handing over gifts to needy learners,” mayoral spokesperson Andrew Seome said.
