We’re curious about affordable leisure options in our community! Whether it’s local parks, cultural events, or other budget-friendly activities, we want to know what’s accessible for families and individuals. Share your thoughts and ideas to inspire others seeking affordable entertainment options
As a mom of two (ages 19 and 21), I feel Rustenburg really needs more local spots where young people can have fun. Places like Ten Flags are great but are too far out of town. We used to enjoy Jakkalsdans when it was open with its live music and great vibe, but it was also far, and drinking before driving long distances is dangerous. My kids enjoy swimming pool venues where they can braai, but there aren’t many around Rustenburg. We need more affordable, safe places in town for families to enjoy without breaking the bank. Creating your own entertainment, like writing or art, is another option. You could also suggest activities to local authorities or community centres to spark new initiatives.
