Who will be Rustenburg’s favourite SMME?

Rustenburg – The Waterfall Mall, in collaboration with key local partners, has launched an exciting “Grow Your Small Business” competition aimed at boosting the local economy and supporting small business development. 

This initiative sees the collaboration of Platinum Weekly newspaper, Turn Media, Pulse FM 92.9, Rustenburg Local Municipality’s Local Economic Development department, SEDA, Property Point, Orbit TVET College’s Centre of Entrepreneurship, Office of the Tax Ombud, and First National Bank.
The competition kicked off with a compelling business seminar on 16 March 2024, followed by the selection of the Top 10 finalists. These finalists were carefully chosen. 

On Wednesday 17 April 2024, representatives from the Waterfall Mall, Platinum Weekly newspaper, and Pulse FM 92.9 cast their votes to select the top SMME from the list of ten outstanding finalists.
From 16 April to 22 April, a small business exhibition at the mall showcased these Top 10 finalists, providing them with a platform to present their innovative ideas and business models.

Now, it’s your turn to help decide the winner!
The public is encouraged to vote for their favourite small business. The winning business will receive a grand prize worth R170,000, which includes advertising and mentorship opportunities. This prize features an exclusive full-page advertisement in the Platinum Weekly newspaper, ensuring significant exposure.
