Rustenburg – On Saturday evening, 19 May, one of the journalists at Platinum Weekly got the chance to go out with the Rustenburg Crime Combating Forum (RCCF) team to see how they operate.

They patrolled from 22h00 to 03h00 concentrating on East End and the central business district, and from there on proceeded to Geelhout Park.

RCCF members do not get paid for their selfless work. They do it for the community.

Anyone interested to join the ranks is welcome. They work closely with the police. They patrol the entire town to make the community safer. The RCCF team is a voluntary organisation, non-profitable and non-political.

They adhere to strong moral codes, a strict code of conduct and set of rules. They are the eyes and ears of the police and the community. They operate as a family unit.

They would like to make use of this opportunity to thank Wesalarms and ADT Fidelity for their prompt assistance, day in and out.

For more information contact 074-527 3041.
