Dawid soars to Comrades qualifier at Sedibeng!
Platinum Weekly newspaper | Rustenburg – On Sunday 7 December 2025, the flat roads of the Sedibeng Marathon in Vereeniging witnessed a proud moment for the Run/Walk For Life Rustenburg (RWFL) — when club-athlete Dawid van Dyk smashed the marathon in a Comrades-qualifying time of 4:55:00, accompanied by his training partner Bruno Letarde.
The Sedibeng Marathon — held at the Vaal Showgrounds in Vereeniging — is known for its relatively flat, double-lap route across the Vaal Triangle, making it a popular “last-call” qualifier for runners aiming for the Comrades Marathon.
