Rustenburg –The much-anticipated Bergsig Wi Padel Courts are now officially open, bringing a fresh wave of sporting excitement to the community. After months of thrilling matches and eager anticipation, the courts were inaugurated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, 15 February 2025. Since November, padel enthusiasts have been getting a taste of the action, but with the official launch, Bergsig Academy — together with Wi Padel — is taking the game to the next level. The new courts provide a top-class facility for players of all skill levels to enjoy this fast-growing sport.

Easy booking, affordable play
Players eager to hit the courts can book their game time via the Playtomic app, which offers flexible pricing based on different times of the day. The only question left is: Are you ready to play?

Bergsig Academy’s principal, Karin Potgieter, and staff proudly cut the ribbon, officially opening the brand-new Wi Padel Courts to the Rustenburg community.

Padel is a racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. It is typically played in doubles on an enclosed court about one-third the size of a tennis court. The game is easy to learn, making it popular among players of all skill levels.
