Impala Rugby storms to victory!

Rustenburg – Impala Rugby Club delivered a statement performance on Saturday, 15 February 2025, overpowering Harlequins Rugby Club in Krugersdorp with a resounding 52-3 triumph. The second team also proved their mettle, shutting out their opponents with a solid 21-0 win.

Leading from the front, first-team captain Ivan Sonnekus played a pivotal role in the victory, ensuring his team maintained momentum throughout the match. Meanwhile, kicker Nathan van Aswegen was in top form, successfully converting every opportunity at goal, keeping the scoreboard ticking in Impala’s favour.

Director of Rugby, Johan Engelbrecht, was brimming with pride following the win. “I knew we could win the match. Now we are preparing for our next challenge,” he said.

Impala Rugby Club will now shift their focus to their upcoming clash against Randfontein Rugby Club on Saturday, 22 February 2025, where they aim to continue their winning streak.
