Rustenburg – ORBIT FET College Football Club (FC) began their 2025 campaign in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Leruma United FC. The match took place on Saturday 11 January 2025 at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.

ORBIT College FC’s team manager, Percy Ntshabele, reflected on the match, saying, “Coming to this game, we knew it was going to be difficult as we were playing a team in position 15. The boys played well despite the rain and slippery surface. It was our very first game of the new year, and although we created many chances to score, we failed to capitalise on most of them. However, we managed to secure a crucial goal through Thulani Jingana in the 58th minute of the second half, and that was enough to earn us the three important points we needed.”

The victory places ORBIT College FC in a strong position as they gear up for their next challenge. They will face Black Leopards FC at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday 18 January 2025 at 15:30.
