Sibanye-Stillwater SAPGM Rugby Club sets sights on Castle Super League glory

Rustenburg – Sibanye-Stillwater SAPGM Rugby Club is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, starting with a friendly match against Springs Rugby Club on Saturday 8 February 2025, in Springs. 

The club has been selected as one of the top rugby teams to compete in the prestigious Castle Super League, hosted by the Blue Bulls, where the ultimate champion will walk away with an impressive R300,000 prize. Sibanye’s first league game is set for 15 February 2025 against Louis Trichardt Rugby Club. 

Head coach Joel Scherman expressed confidence in the team’s preparation, stating, “We look forward to this year. We have kicked off this year with practice and we will come in with a bang!”
