Rustenburg/Phokeng – Platinum Stars hosted Free State Stars on Saturday 3 March at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

There was not much separating the two sides in the opening 10 minutes as they were both still trying to find their rhythm in the match.

Dikwena finally found the breakthrough four minutes before halftime, through Gift Sithole who made all their dominance count for one goal lead before halftime.

Platinum Stars played without head coach Roger De Sa, who was suspended last Friday, and the visitors Free State Stars levelled goals in the nine minutes remaining of the match with a fine strike from Anas. Unfortunately for the hosts, Ea Lla Koto snatched the winner with two minutes remaining as Anas bagged his second with a clinical low strike from close and Free State Stars won the game by 2-1 score.

Dikwena remains rotted at the bottom of the Absa Premiership log with 17 points from 23 games played.
