Rustenburg business robbery suspect remains behind bars
Rustenburg – The long arm of the law has finally caught up with a 30-year-old suspect linked to a series of business robberies in Rustenburg.
Steven Ndlovu will remain in custody until his next court appearance on Thursday, 27 March 2025. This follows his initial court appearance in the Rustenburg Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 12 March 2025, on three counts of business robbery.
Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone confirmed that Ndlovu was apprehended on Thursday, 6 March 2025, while attending a court proceeding in Johannesburg. His arrest stems from forensic leads that linked him to multiple business robberies committed in Rustenburg between August 2016 and December 2024. After his arrest, Ndlovu was transported to Rustenburg, where authorities officially connected him to three separate cases.
Further investigations revealed that the accused is also facing two additional business robbery charges in Hillbrow and Roodepoort, Johannesburg. Law enforcement officials continue to probe his activities, and the possibility of linking him to more cases remains open.
Acting provincial commissioner of North West, major general Patrick Asaneng, commended the dedicated efforts of the police officers involved in the case.
