ATM bombed in Rustenburg CBD

Rustenburg – Chaos erupted in the Rustenburg CBD on Tuesday, 4 February 2025, when an ATM at a local garage was bombed in broad daylight. Shocked community members reported hearing four consecutive explosions, sending a wave of panic through the area.

The shop owner confirmed that, despite the severity of the blasts, no one was injured. However, the damage to the store was extensive. 

Authorities have yet to release an official statement.
