Couple found hanging from tree

Rustenburg – Two bodies, a man and woman, were found hanging from a tree at Entabeni hostel in Bleskop on Thursday 6 January 2022.

Rustenburg Police spokesperson sergeant Ofentse Mokgadi said a case of murder is being investigated. The deceased have since been identified as a 40-year-old man and 37-year-old woman who were both living in Sondela. 

“Upon arrival at the scene, the police found the lifeless bodies of the couple hanging from a tree with ropes around their necks,” Mokgadi said. “The woman’s body was bleeding and bruised all over,” he added.
