16 escaped from Jhb prison

Johannesburg –  Sixteen prisoners who on the morning of Monday, 9 April, escaped from the Johannesburg Prison also known as “Sun City” are still on the run.

Police have launched a manhunt for the 16 and have appealed to the public to report any information on the whereabouts of any of the escapees.

The prisoners escaped by breaking through iron bars before breaking a wall and jumping the prison fence on their way out.
