14-Month baby murdered

Mooinooi – The Mooinooi police are investigating cases of murder and robbery that involve a 14-month old baby girl with two gunshot wounds to the head. 

The incident occurred on Tuesday, 30 January at about 01h00 in the morning, when three men allegedly invaded the parents’ home in Modderspruit (Bapong).

According to police reports, the suspects forced their way into the house and demanded cash from the couple. A quarrel ensued resulting in the shooting of the 14-month old baby girl. She was shot twice in the head and died on scene. 

The suspects reportedly fled with R300.00 cash. Investigations continue.
