One killed, one injured on R24

Rustenburg – A man, believed to be 27 years old, was killed and another injured in a collision between two vehicles on the R24 close to Magalies View, Rustenburg, on Sunday evening, 21 January, according to ER24. 

At approximately 20h20, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the driver of a black Audi entrapped in his car.

After fire and rescue personnel managed to free the man, ER24 paramedics did everything they could to resuscitate the man, but he was unfortunately declared dead at the scene by the paramedics. The driver of another car, believed to be in his 30s, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by other emergency services on scene.

Investigations continue.
