Platinum Weekly newspaper | Rustenburg – Hope, healing and second chances took centre stage at the 360 Revival Rally, held at Aurora Wedding and Function Venue on the Koster Road on Saturday, 12 September 2026.

Organised in support of Friends to Addicts, the community outreach brought approximately 150 people together to raise awareness about substance abuse. The name 360 Revival represents the complete transformation needed to rebuild a life through recovery, community support and faith.

The programme began with a youth rally for teenagers aged 13 to 18, focusing on drug awareness, peer pressure and making wise choices. Corné de Klerk, a teacher at Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen and a youth pastor, delivered an encouraging message, while the Full Gospel Church Youth Band led praise and worship. Outdoor Arena Security also presented an interactive K9 demonstration. Special guests included children and representatives from Lighthouse Child Care Centre.

J.D. Labotskii of True Christian Ministry served as master of ceremonies for the main programme, which combined music with honest and deeply personal testimonies. Performers JP Dix, Tuin and Shaun Tait shared their experiences of addiction and recovery, with Tait travelling from Cape Town to participate. The closing testimonies by Tuin and Tait left many audience members visibly moved.

The event was made possible through strong community support. Aurora owner Alida Pretorius donated the venue, Monostat was a major sponsor, and N4 Guest Lodge provided accommodation and special care for the performers, speaker and presenter. Outdoor Arena Security also supported the awareness initiative.

The rally was driven by Friends to Addicts founder Ernest Pienaar, together with Inezette Engelbrecht, Johan and Lien Mostert, and lead organiser and marketer Melanie van der Walt.

Following the encouraging response, Friends to Addicts hopes to host similar events in future. Its message remains clear: prevention is better than cure, recovery is possible, and every person deserves an opportunity to find their way back.
