Rustenburg – Grenville High School is proud of Brimarion Goliath who has been chosen to represent South Africa at the 2021 African Schools Individual Chess Championships (ASICC).

The talented Goliath will be hoping to hold his own during the championships, which will take place in Kenya from 12 to 20 December 2021.

Every chess master was once a beginner and Brimarion is definitely on the path to success. Meanwhile, grade 8 and 9 learners from the school participated in their first junior South African National Geographic Olympiad (SANGO).

The learners accepted the challenge and immensely enjoyed learning about Geography. Well done to the following learners who made it to the top 15% in the country:  Thulaganyo Nthebe (bronze), Lemogang Molose (silver: top 10%) and Botlhale Nkuna (gold: top 5%).
