A round of golf for a good cause
Rustenburg – Spes Bona is a non-profit organisation with a residential facility that provides safe, quality accommodation to persons with disabilities.
Spes Bona is a safe haven – as the residents – due to personal, social, health or other reasons, have no other place to live.
They currently care for 65 patients and provide daily necessities – an expensive process. Essential items like nappies can cost about R10,000 a month.
And with most of the patients only receiving a grant with no medical aid… securing funds is a daunting task.
The facility is also in need of serious maintenance but with no funds to spare, this project has to take the back seat.
To raise funds, Spes Bona will host a golf day at the Rustenburg Golf Club on Friday 12 November.
It will be a fourball alliance two score to count.
A fourball entry is R3,200 and includes a goodie bag, registration, Build-a-Burger and cold drink. There will also be platters served during the prize giving – with lots of prizes to be won. If you’re not one to swing the club, donate prizes, donate money or participate – every cent helps!
