Rustenburg – On Wednesday 22 September Rustenburg SAPS officers and community policing forum (CPF) representatives visited Noble Palms Private School as part of a school safety initiative. 
The police officers, who were also accompanied by department of correctional services representatives, advised learners about the various careers they can pursue in law enforcement as well as the relevant tertiary courses available. 
On Monday 27 September, police members from the K9 units based in Phokeng and Hartebeespoort were summoned to Rustenburg Educational College where they conducted a search for drugs. “The classes and hostels were searched, and no drugs were found,” said police spokesperson sergeant Ofentse Mokgadi. 
Social crime prevention warrant officer Obakeng Motepe urged the learners to ensure the school remains a safe environment which is conducive for learning.   

Hartbeespoort and Phokeng SAPS K9 unit members conducted a search for drugs.
