Rustenburg – Impala Rustenburg has completed the first batch vaccinations of more than 1,000 employees who are over 60-years of age. 

The mining giant has also vaccinated the first 800 of its employees who fall within the 50 to 59-years age group as part of the government’s COVID-19 vaccination rollout. 

Additionally, Impala Rustenburg also vaccinated more than 820 of its healthcare workers during this first phase. 

Impala Rustenburg chief executive Mark Munroe said the programme had made a significant and positive difference. 

“The total number of people vaccinated at Impala Rustenburg now exceeds 4,000 and the vaccination programme is rapidly gaining momentum,” he said.
