Rustenburg – Impala Rugby Club, who played their first league match of the year on Saturday 24 April, are looking forward to a busy season that will also see them taking part in the Carlton Reserve League.
Club chairman Wynand Burger said the team will be implementing all COVID-19 measures that have been put in place by the South African Rugby Union (SARU) to mitigate the spread of the pandemic during matches.
“We are following all SARU rules that are in place with regards to COVID-19 and this includes regular testing of all players,” Burger told Platinum Weekly. After a long period of inactivity caused by the COVID-19 threat, players are looking forward to an eventful 2021 season that will see them enjoying a lot of games.
“We will also be competing in the Charlton Reserve League where we will be playing a total of 14 matches,” Burger added.
