Rustenburg – A mother’s anguish for being separated from her twin babies for a month and a half ended when their biological father was arrested in Evaton, Gauteng on Wednesday 13 January. The 37-year-old man was charged with the kidnapping of the twins on Thursday, 26 November 2020.

The Rustenburg couple separated and agreed that the father would take the babies to their day-care centre every morning and the mother would fetch them in the afternoon. When the mother went to fetch her six-month old babies on 26 November 2020, she was informed that the father never dropped them off that morning. Attempts to contact the father on his cellphone and at his business were in vain and the matter was reported to the police.

It was the start of a harrowing ordeal for the mother of six-month-old twins who never arrived at their day-care centre in Rustenburg.
