Boitekong/ Rustenburg – Toys for Africa, in partnership with Boitekong Mall, launched the Boitekong Child Protection Hotline on Tuesday 28 August.

The launch took place at the mall and is available to parents, teachers, caregivers, or any member of the public to report or share alleged child abuse or neglect. Boitekong Mall is sponsoring the hotline that will be operated by Toys for Africa.

Said Toys for Africa founder Danie van Loggerenberg: “The hotline will also help the police because we will be able to inform them about the crime as well as alert them to the scene.”  Boitekong Mall’s Mmabatho Madisa hailed the initiative and said it would play a key role in the reduction of crime in the area.
