Rustenburg – Impala Platinum Rustenburg has once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment in the fight to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the North West province. On Thursday 23 July, the mining company handed over hand sanitiser, automatic dispensers, marking tape, facemasks and other essential equipment to the North West Department of Health.

Impala Platinum Rustenburg chief executive officer Mark Munroe, who presented the equipment to the department, stressed the importance of collaboration in the fight against COVID-19. “We are committed to doing all we can to improve the safety of our communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Slowing the spread of the virus is a collective effort and therefore it is up to all of us to play our part.”

Professor John Tumbo, who received the equipment on behalf of the department, showed his appreciation.

Impala Platinum Rustenburg donated various equipment to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
