Swartruggens/ Mathopestad/ Reagile – The Kgetlengriver department of health subdistricts: Swartruggens community health centre and, Mathopestad and Reagile clinics cooked up a storm on Mandela Day, Saturday 18 July. They've each put up a special soup kitchen to give something warm to eat to patients visiting their facilities during the morning.

Various interdepartmental staff members and management joined forces in the spirit of Mandela day to distribute nourishing soup to visiting patients.

“We pride ourselves on giving back to the communities that we serve,” said Kgetleng subdistrict manager Moses Siphuma. “Giving someone a hot meal on a cold day is something so simple, but it may just have given them the strength to carry on.”
