Local riders compete in Gauteng

Rustenburg – Rustenburg Cycling Club (RCC) had three members who began their 2020 season on a high note by taking part in the exciting Gauteng Club (GC) XCO League #1 competition which took place in Gauteng on Saturday 18 January.

Antonie Lit, Matteo Damilano and Kian Victor travelled to the Voortrekker Monument to compete in the race.

The 4.2 km course was very challenging with the 97m vertical ascend for each of the laps requiring contestants to summon all their riding skills and experience. 

The wet conditions also made for a slippery, demanding but still enjoyable race.
