Rustenburg/ Mooinooi – According to Grace Help Centre, three out of four women have been victims of violence in their lifetime.

When women become victims of violence, they are not the only ones affected by its negative impacts. The problem affects the socio-economic development of families, communities and society in general.

There are three types of violence that affects women and children, namely physical violence that include corporal punishment and bullying; psychological abuse when they are verbally and emotionally abused; and sexual violence and harassment which falls in line with coercion and discrimination.

Grace Help Centre is a registered Social Development Care Centre for female victims and children of Gender Based Violence.

If you feel you can identify with the signs of abuse and you want to break free, contact Grace Help Centre’s crisis line 072 348 6526.
