Rustenburg – In the afternoon of Wednesday 2 October, a woman was brutally attacked while working in her home-office on a farm outside Rustenburg.

According to police spokesperson captain Elsabé Augoustides, the woman heard footsteps and on inspection found an unknown number of suspects in her house holding her gardener at gunpoint. The men brutally assaulted the woman, tied her and her domestic worker up, and ransacked the house.

They stole a 303-hunting rifle, cash, cell phones and jewellery before they fled the scene with her husband’s silver BMW motorbike.

The victim managed to free herself, call for help and was rushed to hospital. A case of house robbery is being investigated.
