Rustenburg/ Moruleng – Personnel from the British Council hosted a workshop aimed at developing new and effective ways of ensuring that young people benefit from apprenticeships.

The workshop was held on Tuesday 20 August at Orbit College’s Mankwe Campus.

Students at the campus, prospective employers and other stakeholders were advised on the modern approaches being used in the area of work-related learning.

“This project targets countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, which are regions suffering from high youth unemployment and under-employment,” said communications manager of the British Council Sascha Lee-Solomons.

The workshop forms part of the wider initiative by the British Council to make a positive contribution in the countries they work with by changing lives and creating academic opportunities.

There was a huge interest in the workshop.
Participants of the workshop benefited from the event.
