Rustenburg – Three suspected criminals were arrested on Tuesday 23 July after failing to explain to the police why they were in possession of a bolt cutter, craw bar and other items associated with housebreaking crimes.

The three, who are aged between 31 and 33 years, were arrested by the Cluster Crime Combating Unit (CCCU) in Rustenburg after police stopped them to search their vehicle.

“Five sharpened steel instruments used to open and start vehicles were also found in their possession,” police spokesperson sergeant Ofentse Mokgadi said.

The three are appearing in the Rustenburg Magistrates’ Court.
