Rustenburg – It was a hive of activity at the ATKV Buffelspoort on Saturday 1 June as members of the Rustenburg Cycling Club (RCC) joined other competitors for the 17th FNB Magalies Monster MTB Classic.

The prestigious event, which continues to grow in leaps and bounds, attracted almost 1,300 participants this year.

In what has become a popular feature over the years, the awesome route was once again very tough with steep climbs, mountains and adrenalin pumping down hills.

Competitors selected four categories, which are the full marathon (65km), the half marathon (33km), the fun ride (15km) and the kids’ race (2.5km). It was another memorable event and well done to all of you who took part!
