Rustenburg – Members of the Rotary Club of Rustenburg convened for a meeting to discuss future projects and the positive change they want to bring in the communities of Rustenburg.

The Rustenburg Rotary Club is a non-profit organisation providing community services in and around Rustenburg. Their priority is the community.

They serve nursery schools, primary schools and high schools as well as clinics, retirement homes and other areas where there is a need in the community. These needs are usually due to a lack of resources and support – as well as poverty.

The president elect Antonie Potgieter presented his plans to improve the lives of the community through exciting and compassionate projects.

These projects include:

  • Assistance to pre- and primary schools
  • Fundraising
  • Flu vaccines
  • Rotary Connect
  • Wheelchairs
  • Groot Marico Mountain Bike Race
  • Slimtember

In an interview with Platinum Weekly, Antonie said: “We have big plans for this year. Our main goal is to improve the lives of those who truly need it.

I look forward to all the projects that we have planned, and club will take a hands-on approach towards making Rustenburg better by providing health care, medical supplies, food, youth development and education in the community.”

Belonging to a Rotary Club gives men and women an enjoyable and organised way to make a contribution to their community. By using their skills and expertise, members also enhance their professional network, career development and cross-cultural understanding.
