Rustenburg – From Thursday 16 May to Sunday 18 May, members of the Rustenburg Cycling Club (RCC) thoroughly enjoyed themselves by taking part in the 2019 Sani2C race.

Sani2C is a three-day stage race that starts at Glencairn Farm in Himeville under the majestic Drakensberg and ends at the Scottburgh Golf club in KwaZulu Natal. Since its inception in 2005, the race has been very popular among mountain bikers and attracts participants from all corners of South Africa.

With a few changes to the route used by competitors last year, the 2019 Sani2C race certainly lived up to expectations. Vaughan and Dean Townsend, cycled the 265km Sani2C, finishing 81/260 in the Masters category and 463/1194 overall.

Well done to all the RCC members who took part in the race.

Vaughan and Dean Townsend.
