Brits – Chaos erupted on 5 April when the Brits Mall reveived a bomb threat. According to general manager of Brits Mall, Magriet van Heerden, calls were received stating that there were bombs inside two of our tenants’ premises.

Officials immediately started to evacuate the premises.
Police responded swiftly and cordoned the area off while waiting for the bomb squad and K9 unit to arrive.

Police spokesperson Colonel Adéle Myburgh confirmed that area was searched and declared safe.

In an interview with Platinum Weekly Magriet said: “The safety of our clients is our number one priority. We appreciate the quick response from the SAPS.”
