Rustenburg – Thee vehicles, a bus loaded with school children, and two road maintenance vehicles were involved in a three vehicle pile-up on Monday, 27 February 2017 on the R24. 

According to Trauma Rescue station manager, Weyland Bothma, emergency personnel were notified of the accident at 10:35 on Monday morning. They were dispatched to the scene where they found children wandering next to the road.

 

Ten patients had to be stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital by several emergency response companies. One patient was treated for a fracture and fortunately no one was seriously injured.
