Murderer behind bars
Rustenburg – Sole William Buti was sentenced to a 25-year prison sentence earlier this month after he was accused of murdering his girlfriend Yolandi Mandise Nompola in 2016.
It is alleged that Buti killed his girlfriend after a heated argument at their house in Kosmos City. He loaded her body into his vehicle and drove to Rustenburg to dispose of her body.
On his way, he was involved in a vehicle accident in Kroondal. A passer-by noticed the vehicle – and body parts. He alerted the police.
After a thorough investigation by warrant officer Phehello Khuduge of the Rustenburg Detectives Unit, Buti was arrested 10 days later and will spend the next 25 years behind bars.
