Rustenburg – Members of the Rustenburg Cycling Club (RCC) took part in one of the toughest and most gruelling cycling events, known as the Amashova Durban Classic on 21 October.


It is one of South Africa’s oldest road classic races with a full road closure from Pietermaritzburg to Durban that include distances from 106km, 65km and 35km.


Well done to RCC’s Marlene Human, Johan Visser, Alta Lombaard, Patric Murunwa, Mac Heyneke, Donita Visser, Christo van Staden, Danie Lombaard, Gerda Heyneke, Jon Andrews, Tracey Andrews, Jason Andrews, and Johan Hattingh who completed the race.
